Bow Tie Free Pattern

Bow Tie Free Pattern

Nori's iconic bow tie!

Note:

For this pattern, you can use any kind of yarn and hook size you'd like, the material list only includes what kind of yarn and hook size is recommended.

Materials:

  • double stranded 4mm velvet yarn (in color of choice)
  • 5mm hook
  • sewing needle OR glue OR bobby pin

Abbreviations:

  • mr = magic ring
  • ch = chain
  • hdc = half double crochet
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • FO = fasten off

Please not that I've used double-stranded 4mm velvet yarn for this pattern! :3

  1. (ch1, hdc, ch1, slst)*2   in mr

FO and leave a long tail

It should look something like this after you've tighten your magic ring.

  • Use the long tail to wrap around the middle 3x to create the bow tie.
  • Make a double knot with the other tail to the back of the bow tie to secure the core.
  • You can now hide both tails if you're planning not to sew but to use glue or a bobby pin to apply the bow tie onto the plush.

  • I recommend using a bobby pin to place the bow tie onto the plush, because you're able to then easily remove the bow tie whenever you want and therefore you can make more now ties in different colors!!! :D
